Founder, Artistic Director, Producer and Principal Performer of both the intimate, multiracial chamber theaters, The Excaliber Shakespeare Company of Chicago and The Excaliber Shakespeare Company Los Angeles Archival Project, longtime thespian Darryl Maximilian Robinson has spent more than 50 years committed to the discipline of The Theatre, and as a critically-praised, award-winning, non-union professional stage actor, play director, theatre producer and private acting instructor, spent a lifetime in The Performing Arts striving to achieve excellence in his craft.
Mr. Robinson has appeared in and / or took a creative part in over 250 live theatre presentations and literary arts performances from coast to coast over his five decades of involvement as a theatre artist and has been blessed, from time to time, to receive recognition and appreciation for his work.
Needless to say, Darryl Maximilian Robinson was extremely delighted and honored on Tuesday November 12, 2024 when he learned that he had won a 2024 Broadwayworld Los Angeles Award nomination for Best Supporting Performer In A Play for his well-received performance in the comedic role of Chicago Tribune Newspaper Reporter Roy V. Bensinger in The Culver City Public Theatre 2024 revival production of Ben Hecht's and Charles MacArthur's THE FRONT PAGE presented outdoors at The Carlson Memorial Park in Culver City, California.
